Enrico Galeazzi was created a count by the King of Italy. He also received several orders of knighthood from the Holy See, including St Gregory the Great and the Order of the Holy Sepulcher. A Chamberlain of the Sword of Cape, Count Galeazzi was a devoted Catholic layman to the Holy see and for over 50 years he was in some manner working for the popes. He was an architect by profession. The present North American College in Rome is one of his designs. The count is entombed in the crypt at the college's chapel. He set an amazing example of rendering service to the Church as a layman.
Not to be confused with the incompetent Galeazzi Lisi who managed to destroy Pope Pius XII's body within days of his death. An ignoble end to body the pope who in life was regarded by many as a living saint. Please God when they do get around to beatifying him they will leave his body in peace in the tomb.
