The Vatican School of Law ("Studium Rotale")

Solemn administration of the oath to the new students of the Vatican School of Law (the Studium Rotale) at the Vatican's Cancelleria.

If you want to sudy here, first get a licence in Canon Law, know your Latin and Italian, then get your doctorate here.

The prelate auditors of the Romanae Rotae are about twenty in number and here they can be seen in their togas; each is a doctor of canon law and they represent the many nations.

Archbishop Burke, the Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, gave the address.  He can be seen in the top photo with the Dean of the Roman Rota, Bishop Antoni Stankiewicz.

  1. Excellent work, as usual! It is nearly impossible to find good pictures of the canons of the Roman Rota!
